Arcadia to Hold Health Fair on September 12 Offering Free Health Screenings

Attention friends in Arcadia! On Saturday, September 12, from 9 a.m. to noon, our city will host the 3rd Annual Health Fair. It will be held at the Arcadia Community Center, located at 365 Campus Drive. The best part is that it's completely free!

There will be many screenings available on-site, such as diabetic retinopathy screening, mammography, body fat analysis, and blood glucose and cholesterol testing. Hearing tests, hernia screenings, and dental screenings will also be offered. Most impressively, you can get blood drawn to assess health indicators for the brain, heart, kidneys, and liver. There will also be doctors available for consultations and many medical information booths to browse.

Also, free flu vaccines will be given on-site. However, supplies are limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. For most services, you can simply get in line without an appointment. But! If you need a mammogram, it is strongly recommended to make an appointment in advance. Parking is also free. If the on-site lot is full, you can park at the nearby Church of the Holy Angels or the Arcadia Performing Arts Center.

Mayor Cheng also stepped forward to encourage everyone. He said a healthy community is a strong community. The purpose of this fair is to let everyone access preventive care for free and get to know reliable medical professionals. He strongly encouraged everyone to visit and help make Arcadia healthier.

This event also has a strong lineup of partners. It is co-organized with Kaiser Permanente, USC Arcadia Hospital, Huntington Health (part of the Cedars-Sinai health system), and Molina Healthcare.

If you have free time this weekend, you should definitely bring your family for a visit. After all, health is the most important thing. Oh, and remember to scan the QR code to schedule your mammogram!
