Forbes University Rankings Released: Stanford and Berkeley Decline, but Still in the Top Ten
The competition for university rankings is fierce. Stanford University and UC Berkeley have once again entered the top ten of Forbes' latest ranking of top universities in the United States, but their rankings have dropped this year.
According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Forbes released its list of the top universities in the United States for 2027 last week, with MIT once again ranking first. Forbes said that this list aims to commend universities that can cultivate graduates from different economic backgrounds, with relatively low student debt, high income, success, and influence.
According to Forbes' data, Stanford University, which ranked fourth last year, has dropped to sixth place this year; Berkeley ranks ninth this year, lower than last year's fifth place. Among the top ten, there is also a private California Institute of Technology (Caltech) located in Pasadena, which has risen from 24th place last year to 7th place, showing significant progress.
Forbes said that the focus of this ranking is not on the reputation of the school, but on how well students perform in their studies and careers, and wants to know what rewards students can get for their time and money spent.
Among the 500 universities selected by Forbes, nine Canadian universities made it onto the list. Except for Berkeley, which ranks ninth, Los Angeles ranks twelfth.
California State University has also performed well. Of the 22 state universities, only Cal Poly Humboldt did not make the list, while the remaining 21 were on the list.
