The YMCA (Young Men's Christian Association) is committed to serving New York City's immigrant and newcomer communities. To meet diverse needs, we operate six New Americans Welcome Centers across the city, helping newcomers and immigrants achieve goals related to employment, education, civic participation, naturalization, cultural advancement, and upward mobility in their residential communities.

Our New Americans program is a safe haven for immigrants seeking support and services, and does not inquire about immigration status. Welcome centers provide multilingual information, counseling, and referral services covering education, vocational training, recreational activities, family support, and social services, as well as legal resources and guidance regarding family-based immigrant visas and naturalization.

Whether you are new to New York or need long-term integration support, you are welcome to come and receive free, confidential assistance.
