For example, on a late autumn night, a group of foreign tourists walked down the streets of Florence, reeking of alcohol and dressed rather scantily. They laughed loudly and urinated against the exterior wall of the Florence Cathedral. There was not a trace of shame on their faces, as if it were something they were supposed to do. This not only dirtied the wall, but also desecrated a treasure of human civilization.

The strangest thing is that these people are quite well-behaved in their own countries and polite when they go out. But as soon as they arrive in Italy, their defenses collapse. They shout in restaurants, bump into people while walking, and jump into fountains at historical sites. Why? Besides their own low quality, it is also because Italy is too chaotic locally. The streets are messy, there are blind spots in public security, and the police don't do much about it. People see that, oh, doing bad things has no consequences, so why not just do whatever they want?

There is a saying called the 'broken windows theory,' which means that if a window is broken and not repaired, more people will smash the glass. If Italy wants to change, it must first establish the authority of the law and make violators suffer the consequences. In addition, tourism cannot rely solely on opening restaurants and hotels; culture, public transport, and urban management also need to be improved. Tourists must truly understand the stories behind these old buildings and have reverence in their hearts, and only then will they not do such absurd things.
