Parents thought he was sleeping, but he was already gone - Italian man dies of heart attack, sat in car for a hundred kilometers

Recently something happened in Italy that is really hard to hear. A pair of parents were driving out with their 31-year-old son, and after driving about a hundred kilometers, they realized their son in the back seat had died.

The incident happened around 7:30 last Sunday morning on the A21 highway, near Castelletto and Voghera. They were heading to Turin. The father was driving, mother in the passenger seat, son in the back.

On the way, the son suddenly had a heart attack, but it happened so fast that he didn't even make a sound and quietly passed away. The parents in the front didn't notice, thinking he was dozing in the back.

Later they tried to call out to their son, but got no response after several calls, and only then felt something was wrong. They quickly pulled over into a lay-by, touched their son, and only then realized he was unconscious and had no pulse.

They immediately called 112, and the 118 emergency services from Pavia also arrived, but the doctors said he was already dead and couldn't be saved.

Later, they told the police that their son had a pre-existing minor heart condition. They calculated that his last words were about 100 kilometers before the incident location. The police are still looking into the situation.

Ah, really unimaginable. All the way, a family like this... it's so sad.
