Customers who have purchased iPhone 15 Pro can apply for compensation, eligibility, amount, and deadline can be viewed at once
People who have purchased certain models of iPhones can receive up to $95 in compensation from the $250 million settlement agreement. Those who meet the criteria can submit a claim application online.
The San Jose Messenger reported that this agreement is aimed at resolving Apple's lawsuit over misleading consumers and exaggerating artificial intelligence capabilities. Some iPhone users may receive a cash compensation of $25 per device. If there are few applicants for compensation, the maximum amount of compensation may be up to $95.
Apple does not acknowledge these allegations, but agreed to settle multiple class action lawsuits in May. Apple was previously said to be lagging behind in the artificial intelligence race, but in recent years it has been increasing its investment. When Apple CEO Tenas released a new product in September, he said that artificial intelligence can bring a brand new experience and help integrate applications, products, and services that people use in their daily lives.
Clarkson, founder and managing partner of Clarkson Law Firm, who represented consumers in early iPhone false advertising lawsuits, said that the false advertising settlement is aimed at raising the bottom line of information disclosure, protecting fair competition, and giving consumers more choices. He said that the $250 million settlement is the highest amount of false advertising in history, and he is proud to have fought for this result for Apple users.
This settlement agreement applies to individuals and businesses who purchase iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 15 Pro Max between June 10, 2024 and March 29, 2025. Users can submit a claim application on smarthoneyaisettlement.com. The application deadline is December 21st. The person receiving compensation must reside in the United States and be the original purchaser of the equipment. The equipment purchased through second-hand channels does not meet the requirements. If iPhone users are unsure if they meet the eligibility criteria, they can call (888) 988-8945.
Users can also write to Landsheft et al. v. Apple Inc. and the settlement administrator at the following address: P.O. Box 301132, Los Angeles, CA 90030-1132。 The court also needs to approve the settlement agreement. The hearing is scheduled for February 24th. If there is an appeal, payment may be delayed. If there is no appeal, your settlement amount will be processed as soon as possible. Please be patient
