Two Chinese people fight in Prato, causing Chinese restaurant to shut down for 60 days
On October 6th, the Chief of the Prato Police Department officially signed an administrative penalty order. A restaurant located on Via Filzi has been forced to close for rectification and cannot operate for a full 60 days.
The direct cause of this store closure is a malignant blood case that occurred on the afternoon of September 28th. At that time, two Chinese men with deep grudges fiercely clashed in front of this restaurant. One of them used a machete to severely injure the other. Later, the perpetrator was arrested by the Carabinieri military police in Prato. But such violent behavior on site has already had a very negative impact on the surrounding public safety.
Later, upon further investigation, the police also discovered that the restaurant itself had serious security risks. During the on-site investigation and search, the military police found illegal drugs directly inside the restaurant.
More importantly, the police conducted background checks on people who often come to this restaurant for consumption, and the results were astonishing: this restaurant is no longer just a place to eat, but a fixed gathering place for people with criminal records. Many frequent diners have serious criminal records, with some even involved in major cases.
According to Article 100 of Italy's TULPS, if a serious violent incident occurs in a public place, or if there are frequent gatherings of dangerous individuals or people with criminal records that pose a direct threat to social order, the police chief has the right to directly order the suspension of its business license. The police emphasized that as a business premises, if restaurants allow themselves to become the foothold and source of safety hazards for criminals, they must bear corresponding legal responsibilities. The mandatory 60 day store closure this time is to cut off the gathering network of criminals from the source, timely eliminate safety hazards, and ensure the living environment of the general public.
